The Early Learning Coalition of
Sarasota County was first established in 1999 by legislation and
currently administers a program of $11 million of local, state and
federal funds for the purpose of ensuring that all children enter
school ready to learn, with a solid foundation they need to grow and
develop. The Coalition is responsible for administering the local
School Readiness and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten programs. To fulfill
its mission, the Early Learning Coalition oversees a broad range of
services to enhance the quality of child care and preschool
educational services for young children in Sarasota, serving over
4000 children and assisting over 225 child care providers each year.

information and options for finding quality child care
- Children are provided age
appropriate developmental screenings and assessments
- Child Care providers are offered
a wide range of services to create and maintain high quality
child care and preschool learning environments
